Humanity is in transition. Science needs to guide civilization by articulating a vision of reality and humanities role within it. The practices of the past are now understood to be out of step with nature and need to be corrected using scientific knowledge both old and new. Nature has provided us with human resources, knowledge and technology to transition peacefully.
